Being a local ... if I were visiting Melbourne for 3 days, heres how I would spend them ...

Day 1 - Eureka Skydeck
Take in the unique Melbournian skyline from the 88th floor of the tallest local building with 360deg panoramic views. Then unwind amongst a multitude of cafes, bars and restaurants skirting the banks of the Yarra river in the Southbank precinct, always a hive of activity.

Day 2 - Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary
For those of you visiting Australia looking to get a glimpse or even interact with many of the beautiful local widelife species ... this is a great place to do it. Situated about a 90min drive from the CBD and in the heart of the Yarra Valley wine country over 78 acres it os a great destination for a day trip. Open 9-5pm every day ... (loved the birds of prey exhibition!)

Day 3 - Royal Botanic Gardens
Truly a hidden oasis of Melbourne, only a 7 min walk from the main Flinders St station, you can easily spend many hours meandering around these picturesque gardens showcasing over 10,000 varieties of plants spread over 37 acres. Sweeping lawns, well maintained lakes, an observatory, Sidney Myer music bowl (outdoor events for over 10,000 people) and “The Tan” Melbournes most popular 3.8km running track around the outside circuit. Even moonlight cinema in the summer season. The list continues ... a must see and free👌
